Maximize your Avon business selling gift baskets

I absolutely love making gift baskets. Gift baskets are a great way to increase your Avon sales. You can make all occasion baskets such as retirement baskets, birthday baskets, Holiday baskets, baby shower baskets, anniversary baskets, Valentines Day baskets, graduation baskets, wedding baskets, and even more!

When you make your gift baskets, about two to three weeks before you actually make the baskets, take orders for them. You can create an order form and take deposits for your orders. The deposits should be 50% or more of the entire cost of the baskets ordered. This way you won't have to pay out-of-pocket for supplies

Prepare yourself for any questions that potential clients may ask such as how much are your baskets. What kind of baskets do you make? You can prepare yourself by making three sample baskets. You could make one for children, one anniversary basket, or one basket for men. This shows potential clients that you can make several different types of baskets. You should also make these baskets different sizes. This way people can get a feel of how much money they may want to spend on a basket.

Make sure that when you take orders you give receipts and write down on that receipt the day that their order will be ready. The day before their order is ready call them and give them a reminder. So don't forget to have two copies of receipts and make sure their phone number is on your copy.

You will need:

Bows
Baskets
Scissors
Wire ties
Brochures
Hole puncher
Business cards
Clear gift Wrap

How do I price my baskets?

When you price your baskets make you make a profit after all of the expenses are paid. I usually make a ten dollar profit. If your baskets are small then you can go down a little lower. It's really a waste of time if you don't make a profit.

Tips:

1-Make sure you include business cards and brochures in every basket. Use the hole puncher and wire tie to tie the bow and your business card and small name card to to your gift basket. You can do this by punching holes in your cards and then running the wire and string through the cards before you tie them to the basket.

2 -Yard Sales and garage sales are great places to find baskets at a low price. You may need to spray paint them to make them look new but who will know.
