Ten Ways To Sample Your Way To Success!

I can not stress how much samples will play a part in the success of your Avon business. Today I would like to share some sample tips with you. If people do not know what products smell like, feel like, and in some cases look like they simply won't purchase them. I am a person that will go crazy when ever I smell a fragrance that I love. That is enough to get me to make a purchase.

Tip #1 Simply pull friends and family members to the side. Tear open a sample and ask them to smell. You do not half to appear to be trying to sell a thing. This is an opportunity to allow people to let you know what they think about a product. This is also an opportunity to gain  a potential customer.

Tip #2 Take a small plastic sandwich bag and fill it up with samples and put a pretty little bow around it with a business card and hand them out to people on special occasions.

Tip #3 Purchase samples from the What's new booklet. They usually have really great deals on samples and this gives clients an opportunity to see what's new.

Tip #4 Do you have clients that you give samples and brochures to all the time but they never seem to make a purchase? It's simple! Stop! This is costing you money. If they continue to ask even though they pretty much know that they are not going to make a purchase, simply let them know that the brochures are for paying customers. There are people that won't buy but they sure will take the free samples.

Tip #5 When ever you do a vendor table. Put a pretty bowl on the table with samples in it with a mint and a business card or even a small label with your contact information taped on the back of the card. Make sure you add a small post card that reads "take only one" unfortunately people can be greedy!!

Tip #6 Don't be afraid to invest in samples but do not be to free with giving them out. Investments are great but we must play it smart.

Tip #7 Follow - up with clients that have made purchases and simply ask them if they have had a chance to use the samples that you left if their bag. Never fill orders without putting samples in the bags.

Tip #8 Make sure you try the samples yourself. There are those times when clients or potential clients will ask about products and it is not good to be in position where we must say "I don't know" If you try the product then you can tell them what you think.

Tip #9 Do something special for clients that refer other clients to you. Make them a goodie bag full of samples or you could give them a thank you card and tape samples on the inside of the card.

Tip #10 If you think it would be easier to mail clients samples, then simply mail them samples and a brochure.

*Remember the smartest thing in any business is to set aside a certain amount of money each month to put back into your Avon business. Every business has expenses. Also make sure you are keeping a log of money spent and all money received for tax purposes. This will be another blog title discussed later.
