Social Media Marketing Strategies for the Avon Lady

Today I want to share how I use social media marketing to promote my Avon business. There are many ways that I use the web to market my business but today I will share just a few. Every day the web is evolving and people are able to reach potential clients all across the globe. I will share how I use email marketing, social media, and blog post to market my business and to grow my fan base.

1. Email Marketing:

Do you have an email list of all your clients? If you don't, it's not too late to create one. When new clients place an order, ask them if they mind giving you their email address along with their telephone number. On the your Avon back office try clicking on my office then web office, and customer management. There you will find a list of your clients. You can contact them to follow-up and see how the last products they ordered are working out for them. This will show you the products that your clients ordered in the past. You can search those products to see if they are on sale. If they are, try using web office, to notify those clients. Your clients will appreciate you better when you notify them about deals!

Your email may look something like this.

Email:

Hello Barbara, this is your Independent Avon sales representative Victoria Sheffield. I am just checking on you and to see how you are doing and if you are in need of anything. How did the last products you ordered work out for you? I also want to let you know that the Moisture Therapy lotion that you love is on sale this campaign for 1.99. If you would like assistance placing your order email me. You could also place your order online and have it shipped directly to you

*This strategy will also work using text messages

2. Social Media

I use several social platforms but today I will only share the four that I use the most. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, & Pinterest.

Facebook Marketing

I suggest creating a page just for your business. Sometimes posting too many business related ads or post on your personal page turns people away sort of making them feel that a person is always trying to sell something. Posting on a personal page every once in a while doesn't hurt however.

Post items that are on sale. Post at least once a day! Try not to forget to post links to your website. Try to keep your fan base interested by posting, news articles, or new products.

Twitter

Tweet at least once a day. Let your fan base know about any products that are on sale. Tweet new products that are available. Make sure your profile is complete with a link to your website. Make sure you have a professional looking profile photo on all of your social media accounts.

Instagram

Post on Instagram also at least once a day. Take pictures of any products that you have. You can also screenshot images from your website. Write a very brief description. Let viewers know how they can order products online.

Pinterest

Pinterest is much like Instagram and Twitter in one. For the most part it's another platform that can sort of be used to share links and post photos. Boards can also be created to organize post.

Blogging

Use a blog to build your fan base. There are free platforms like Blogger, Tumbler, & Wordpress. Research how to write product reviews. Review only products that you have used. Use your own images and share with viewers how they can purchase products. Product reviews can also be typed or done though a Youtube channel. Make sure you are sharing your blog entries on social media. Email marketing is a great way to share your blog.

Whichever platform you choose to use remember to keep it exciting and make sure you reply on comments or questions in a timely manner. Build a fan base my creating relationships with your audience. Follow others, like some of their post, & comment on other people's post. Make your presence be known. Maybe you can educate people about skincare or makeup and blog about that. Use live models to do facials on and create videos.

Which ever way you choose to use social media to promote your Avon business remember that "If you build it, they will come"!
