How to Sell Avon Tossing Brochures


I must admit that tossing brochures is something I haven't done much of. Lately I am trying just about everything I can to reach my goals. I am learning how to sell Avon tossing brochures from other representatives. This is what I found out. Some are really benefiting from tossing but this is only after tossing a LOT of brochures. Some toss as many as 100 and to my surprise some are tossing up to 1000 or more. Wow! I am sure if I had that kind of time then my sales would sky rocket.  

This really reminds me of a newspaper route. I also notice that some don't get a single call. Do I feel all of this tossing stuff is worth it. Yes I do because some are even claiming that they have increased online sales tossing brochures. Maybe one day I will toss this many brochures. 

This week I tossed 60 brochures. So far, I only received one call. The good news however is that I have two new clients. :) I will toss more in the near future but I strongly feel that people like a face to identify with. If you are someone that is tossing and has not had any success try something different. Try tossing in different neighborhoods. If the neighborhoods are too far for personal delivery, make sure you label your brochures with coupon codes and online purchasing information. This could also be a great way to get new recruits so add recruiting flyers. 

Lastly after sales meetings, ask your managers if you can have any left over flyers or material. I don't throw away anything. On the old brochures I just don't put an expiration date. If someone calls, I let them know that the price may have changed but I can check to see what the price is. 

So The next time you visit a friend or family member, think about tossing in their neighborhood. Even if they live in another state. 

Bonus Tip: When tossing please try not to toss in driveways or hang books on mailboxes. Touching anyone's mailbox is a federal offense. Some do not like brochures tossed in their driveway. I don't like the idea of hanging them on people's door nobs unless they live in apartments. The world has changed and I just like to play it safe. I know that years ago Avon reps did a lot of door-to-door but safety first. I don't feel comfortable walking up to people's doors that I don't know. Now if you are someone that pretty much knows your neighborhood then I say go for it. What I did last this week was place the brochures on the lawn just next to their mailbox.

  1. Very good suggestions. I plan to sign up with Avon on December 2, 2016. I was thinking about purchasing 250 catalogs every two weeks and make up gift bags if you will with stickers, postcard and my business card. All placed in a decorative way to make the bag look like a beautiful gift basket. Everyone likes a nice package or gift. What do you think?
